Pneuma Foundation's Statement of Vision & Purpose

"To lead Pentecostal/charismatic believers to a greater understanding of God's Word and assisting church leaders in equipping the saints for the work of the ministry. We also long for greater dialogue between Evangelicals about doctrine, and by way of an open forum, to promote Biblically-centered theological discussion on the gifts of the Spirit."

To provide resources for Spirit-empowered ministry.

To assist the local church in laying a foundation of sound doctrine by providing teaching resources useful for this purpose.

To encourage Christian leaders and assist them in better equipping the saints for the work of the ministry.

Those who make up the Pneuma Foundation believe there is a need in the body of Christ today for Biblically sound teaching from a Pentecostal/charismatic perspective.

The Pneuma Foundation is a tax-exempt public foundation supported by the generous gifts of its supporters.

The Foundation will not solicit donations, though we will make needs known to our members. We believe it is better to trust the Lord to provide our support or else to scale down our outreach. The "needs" of the Pneuma Foundation must never get in the way of presenting the Message with clarity and without hindrance.

Principles of Teaching and Dialogue

When presenting teachings over which there is disagreement in the body of Christ (secondary teachings, for example, the Security of the Believer, or the Role of Women in Ministry), the Pneuma Foundation will not make its position in a manner that alienates or ignores opposing views. It is better to follow the Biblical mandate of preferring others over ourselves (Phil. 2:3-4). The Foundation desires to present the differing viewpoints and promote dialogue, acknowledging that the goal of our instruction is love (1 Tim. 1:5).

Even when evaluating false teachings or non-Biblical religions or groups, this will be done without passing judgement on individuals or "demonizing" proponents of such views. The Pneuma Foundation will endeavor to share the love of God and the challenge of the truth, never compromising the integrity of Scripture.

Our desire is to present profound truth in simple language and therefore impact the greatest number of people with the power of God's Word. Yet, regardless of presentation, we know that reception of God's truth is accomplished only by the ministry of the Holy Spirit. This is why we value prayer and make it a part of all our efforts.

Pneuma (Πνευμα) is the Greek New Testament word for Spirit.
